Item Description

Spherocobaltite is rare Co-carbonate and is extremely rare from this well-known, abandoned, copper mine. The 5.3 cm, well-placed sculptural vug is lined with gemmy, grayish-magenta crystals, some with frosted faces and a nicely accenting corsage of primary malachite crystals. Old-time, very rare, most excellent and desirable material from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection. Obtained in an exchange with the Palumbo Collection in 1958!
