Spessartine with Smoky Quartz

A rarely seen Spessartine specimen from the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. This piece was personally collected by Richard Kosnar in the late 1970s. The Spessartine crystals on this specimen are very sharp and lustrous with rich orange color, nearly gem quality, textbook trapezohedrons, associated with Smoky Quartz and Feldspar matrix. A great reference piece for anybody who collects this material.
