Spessartine with Mica

Truly exceptional, giant, very complex Spessartine crystal from the classic Marienfluss deposits. It has unusual wine red color for the locale. This amazing crystal is 4.2 cm across, and the radial growth (seen across the contacted bottom) terminates in many many gemmy faces, all with a fine microcoating of Mica in between. The color, gemminess, and luster of the Spessartine are superb. I have only seen one other crystal like this, and it is so distinctive that I hardly know what to make of it, other than just admire it.
