Spessartine w/ Smoky Quartz (Mervyn Ford Coll.)

Item Description

A sculptural combination from recent finds at this well-known Chinese locale. Three aesthetically intergrown transparent to translucent smoky quartz crystals are preferentially overgrown with gemmy, cinnamon-orange spessartine garnets to 6 mm. Hard-to-see, but the termination of the large smoky is water-clear. A nifty two-sided small cabinet with only a gently bruised tip and one spot of side wear to the large smoky.
