A cute and aesthetic small cabinet combination plate from recent finds at Tongbei. The well-placed, lustrous, translucent, rich smoky quartz crystals, to 3.2 cm are accented with an interesting variety of gem spessartine crystals and a rich dusting of tiny muscovite books on the blocky microcline matrix. The larger spessartines are the classic cinnamon-orange, while the many more smaller crystals are uncommon amber color. The display view is totally pristine, with the contact on the back of the upper smoky out-of-sight. The back and an upper edge have been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality of this fine combination piece. With the closing of the locale, such pieces will only increase in value.
