Item Description
A classic and unusually fine old Tongbei specimen - Smoky Quartz crystals generously covered with gemmy Spessartine Garnets. The Smoky Quartz have good color and luster. The beautiful spessartine Garnets are gemmy, deep orange, and have the superb, striated luster that makes them so special. It is an old piece from Trafford Flynn collection and from the original era of mining here in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Note it is also a publication piece shown in Flynn’s book on his thumbnail collection (available for purchase). EX: Jingnan (Tom) Zhang collection.
