A rich wine red color, somewhat translucent, lustrous trapezohedral group of Spessartine crystals are sitting on blocky off-white Albite matrix. The Spessartine group measures 1.0 cm across. For Garnet collectors, this is an attractive Fe-rich Spessartine specimen, and the pieces from Shengus are among the best red Spessartines in the world.
