Item Description
When these specimens first started emerging from Pakistan, they were (and still are) regarded as some of the finest crystallized Spessartine specimens in the world. They are for my money, some of the finest red Spessartines available today. This is a lovely miniature which hosts dozens of of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, orange-red color dodecahedra with trapezohedral modifications which are sitting on blocky white crystals of Albite. These specimens are becoming less and less available on the market, certainly in the last 5 years. Considering how widespread and diverse the various species of Garnet are, it is surprisingly difficult to find good crystallized display specimens such as this one. Garnets as a whole are not very common to find in fine quality crystals.
