Item Description
Two generations of gemmy and lustrous spessartine garnets totally cover this striking and decidedly different two-sided rib. Beautiful, cinnamon-orange spessartines to 7 mm are sprinkled on the earlier generation of smaller, scintillating, yellow-orange spessartines on the front of the piece. Sharp, large, well-defined feldspar crystals covered with the small spessartines and very few large ones are the focal point of the back of the piece. A 1.5 cm muscovite book is a nice accent. This side does have a couple of broken quartz crystals and some bruising. This remains classic and excellent, two-sided combination material from this locale. The former dealer label has a $250 price tag. We have JUST heard, that this locale is now officially closed. So the price will go up on fine quality specimens.
