Item Description

Textbook, dodecahedral, gemmy and lustrous, reddish-red, spessartine garnets to 1.2 cm are aesthetically clustered on the large, very sculptural, starkly contrasting matrix of parallel, stepped-growth albite crystal matrix on this showy, highly representative specimen from recent finds in Pakistan. Overall, the spessartines are in excellent shape, with just a few bruised crystals. The gemmy quality and color of these garnets is definitely a step above the average for the locale and they GLOW cherry-red, when backlit.
