Item Description
Although spessartine is not in itself rare for this region, sharp crystals perched on a vertical quartz like a wreath, sure do draw the eye. This piece features a belt of crystals around its middle, including one unusually elongated 2.3-cm-long crystal, all perfectly sharp 3-dimensional. By the way - Note the pocket clay remaining on the piece - this is literally fresh from a mine, never cleaned beyond maybe a little water. A full quartz point, with garnets hanging off the middle...just a really nice combo no matter where it is from.
