These Spessartines are some of the most attractive, highly displayable and iconic mineral specimens to come out of China. They will go down as some of the most classic minerals we associate with any Chinese locality. This particular piece features many highly lustrous, gemmy, rich orange-red trapezohedrons measuring up to 6 mm associated with attractive Smoky Quartz prisms sitting atop chalky, white Microcline matrix. Very little damage, and fine quality! The color in the Spessartine crystals is very attractive, and they are not at all dull or pitted. This material is becoming less and less available on the market, and keep in mind that there are only a few worldwide localities that produce this color of Spessartine in fine crystallized specimens.
