Spessartine Garnet w/ Quartz (rare)

A VERY RARE and very aesthetic spessartine and quartz combination from this recent find. The crown of glassy, sharply terminated quartz points on one end of this gemmy, cherry-red crystal is dramatic. This is an outstanding combination example of this recent find and is even better in person. The stepped patterns on this particular piece are amazing, just like a cherry-red, Mayan pyramid or an M.C. Escher print! The backlit photo really highlights the beautiful wine-red color saturation and gemmyness. An excellent quality spessartine from this find and VERY RARE, with the quartz crystal cluster associaton. It looks great from either side and the quartz points are pristine.
