Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are EXTREMELY RARE from this most obscure mine on Little Cahuilla Mountain and MINDAT does not list Spessartine Garnet for the locality. A sharp lustrous mottled brown textbook dodecahedron modified with trapezohedral faces is nicely accented with feldspar, quartz and black tourmaline sections on the sides. Bright light highlights the myriad of parallel veinlets of the translucent orange-red spessartine on the crystal, really adding color and character.
