A VERY RARE and fabulously aesthetic spessartine and quartz combination thumbnail from this recent find. The glassy, sharply terminated quartz point on one arm supremely compliments the gemmy, cherry-red spessartines on the other arm. This is an outstanding combination example of this recent find and is even better in person. The stepped patterns on this particular piece are amazing, just like a cherry-red, Mayan pyramid or an M.C. Escher print! An excellent quality spessartine from this find and VERY RARE, with the quartz crystal associaton. The quartz is doubly terminated and the bit of damage-free contacting on one side is certainly not a detraction. It looks great from several views.
