Item Description
Two generations of gemmy spessartine garnet crystals are attractively sprinkled on all six prism faces, but not on the termination faces of this impressive large smoky quartz crystal. The larger cinnamon-orange garnets are up to 5 mm with the smaller crystals being golden-yellow. The very glassy, highly lustrous smoky has rich color, dramatic stepped-growth prism faces and has a water-clear, gem termination above a translucent body. Complete all-around nearly pristine, with only a slightly bruised termination and a contact lower on one side, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se. A fine large 360-degree combination with every turn presenting a different perspective. Fairly common 5-7 years ago, you don't see many around today. Choice material from the Joe Lobell Collection of Oklahoma. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
