Item Description
A striking example of the famous cinnamon-orange spessartines from China. Two generations of gemmy garnets preferentially cover or are richly sprinkled on the sides of the glassy, smoky quartz crystal, but not on the termination faces! The spessartines have excellent luster, are very gemmy, and range up to about 6 mm in size. The stout smoky is water-clear to translucent and has light color. Very nearly pristine. The terminiation has infinitesimal bruising and a contact lower one one side has no damage, per se. Some of the faces have a preferential iron oxide coating. A combination jewel! Valued at $450.
