Item Description
Single spessartine garnet specimens from Shengus very seldom display the fine aesthetics and drama of this thumbnail piece. A 1.4 cm, textbook dodecahedron beveled by the trapezohedron is elegantly perched on the end of pearlescent muscovite plates and is beautifully accented by a tiny spessartine. The crystal looks root-beer brown under low-light conditions, but GLOWS under bright light. When backlit, the gemmy crystal has deep blood-red to riveting cherry-red to firey red-orange hues. The spessartine is complete all-around and pristine. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
