Spessartine Garnet on Albite

Gemmy and lustrous, reddish-orange to dark cherry-red, spessartine garnet trapezohedrons to 1.4 cm are aesthetically scattered on the mounded lustrous, albite crystal matrix on this showy and excellent combination specimen from Shengus. The backlit photo highlighta the gemminess and rich color density of the garnets. The garnets are all pristine. Periphery wear is noted to the albite, but has very modest impact on the fine display quality of this piece. Valued at $500-700.
