Garnets include several actual species, which come in every color of the rainbow. Orange is one of the less common hues, and some of the best orange Garnets are Spessartine. A small amount of gem material has been coming out of Tanzania in the last 20 years or so, and they are rarely available on the market. Here we have a beautiful matched pair of rich orange colored Spessartines with "Modified Mumble" cuts from Arusha, Tanzania. The stones are only very very slightly included. The intensity of the color, combined with the unique cuts on the stones makes them a highly desirable matched pair of this hard to find material. These stones were cut by Robert Heath. A great set for a stunning pair of earrings, or a great gift idea for someone with a January birthday, since Garnet is the birthstone for that month.
