Item Description

An impressive and aesthetic, unusually large, compound spessartine crystal cluster from Shengus. The highly lustrous crystals are very dark cherry-red with gorgeous gemmy areas of cherry to orange-red. The back has fabulous stepped-growth faces, just like the spessartines from the recent finds at the Navegadora Mine, Brazil. Complete all-around and pristine. This outstanding large for the locale piece was for many years part of the Pala Properties/Bill Larson Garnet Collection and was on display at their Fallbrook, California shop. Valued at $1500.
