Item Description

A very aesthetic Spessartine Garnet and Smoky Quartz combination specimen from the famous Chinese finds at Tongbei. A striking field of gemmy and lustrous, burnt-orange, Spessartines completely coat the underlying Feldspar crystals. The gemmy, striated Spessartines are in the .3-.4 cm range. A 2.5 cm Smoky Quartz crystal is jauntily set along one end of the piece. Definitely, one of the niftier Spessartine/Smoky Quartz combos from Tongbei we have offered at auction.
