Item Description
The classic Spessartine Garnets specimens from the famous Garnet Hill locality in Nevada are some of the most well-known Garnets from any locality in the western United States. Collecting at this locale is fairly easily, as most people can find crystals fairly quickly and easily, and you'll find these pieces all over the country, from rock shops to private collections. This piece hosts a single, fine quality, sharp, well-formed, dark red color, trapezohedron measuring 1.2 cm nicely set on the contrasting volcanic matrix. This piece was collected in August of 2005 according to the label.
