Item Description
A very attractive, HIGHLY lustrous, razor-sharp, classic, "floater" Spessartine crystal showing heavily striated and "stepped" dodecahedral faces. The color is a deep red when viewed with reflected light, but through transmitted light, it exhibits a lighter orange-red color with bright orange zones around the edges where the crystal is thinner. The piece is a complete "floater" as it is crystallized on all sides and undamaged. These specimens seemed to have "dried up" on the market, and its a shame because they are simply some of the most unique and distinctive Garnet crystals extant. The combination of unique form, lustrous faces, and intense color make these specimens a must-have for any Garnet collector.
