Item Description

About 10 years ago, there were many of these specimens on the market, and they are becoming increasingly difficult to find these days. This specimen is a very nice, sharp, lustrous, rich wine red color gemmy trapezohedron (with dodecahedral modifications) of Spessartine. The piece is essentially a "floater" as it is crystallized on all sides. When strongly backlit, you can see the beautiful deep internal color. You don't see these specimens on the market much anymore, and I think this piece has excellent presence along with being a wonderful crystallized representation of Garnet.
