About 10 years ago, there were many of these specimens on the market, and they are becoming increasingly difficult to find these days. This specimen features a superb, sharp, lustrous, rich wine red color gemmy trapezohedron (with dodecahedral modifications) of Spessartine. When strongly backlit, you can see the beautiful internal color. You don't see these specimens on the market much anymore, and I think this piece has excellent presence along with being a wonderful crystallized representation of Garnet.
