Item Description

Scintillating specularite hematite covers the undulating surface and is nicely accented with a peppering of glassy, textbook beta-type smoky quartz crystals to 1.0 cm on this showy specimen from the famous Florence Mine. The matrix is classic banded, botryoidal, hematite kidney ore. Ex Buck"s Head Inn (1970s) and Ralph Sutcliffe Collections. The miners swapped their specimens for pints of ale! MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
