Specular Hematite with Fluorite (Belsky Coll.)

Item Description

Scintillating, specular hematite lines several compartmented vugs on one end of the sculptural wedge of massive hematite matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the famous Beckermet Mine of Cumbria. Glassy, transparent, light blue-green fluorite cubes to 5 mm are a super accent to the jet-black specular hematite in both vugs. The vugs also host nearly invisible, glassy, hematite-tinted, dipyramdial quartz crystals. The fluorites have purple fluorescence. Classic combination material from the Howard Belsky Collection.
