Spangolite (rare)

Item Description

A lovely and colorful toenail size specimen from the famous Mex-Tex Mine near the Blanchard Mine in Bingham, New Mexico featuring beautiful rich greenish-blue micro crystals of Spangolite with minor associated green Malachite. We've photographed the little crystals with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. This locality is probably best known for its beautiful Spangolites, are they are certainly not nearly as common on the market as they were several years ago. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
