The Jeffrey Quarry of Arkansas is justifiably famous for its superb "solution quartz" crystals. Gemmy and lustrous almost beyond belief, they are highly sought-after world wide. On very rare occasion, the crystals and specimens develop to exceptional size. This is one of those specimens. As lustrous and clear like its smaller cousins, the largest crystal on here is an amazing 5.7 cm and is doubly terminated! The amber iron oxide tinting really adds character. An incredible large mounded specimen, no doubt about it. Old material from the 1970s. Ex Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. Valued at $1000.-1500. Such pieces are old, and rarely seen - this being the best large one I have come across in old collections.
