Item Description

An impressive, large, sharp euhedral hackmanite crystal is aesthetically set on sawed hackmanite, richterite (formerly winchite) and albite matrix on this outstanding small cabinet from the Koksha Valley. The very glassy hackmanite is mostly gray with pretty hints of lavender and is partially translucent. The richterite is light brown. Hackmanite is the sodium-rich variety of sodalite with some sulfur and is very rare world-wide. It is the tenebrescent variety of sodalite. Richterite is a rare Amphibole Group species. Stunning orange-pink hackmanite fluorescence on all sides of this exceptional 360-degree specimen with purple richterite fluorescence. An exceptional specimen with size and display quality, valued $1000-2000
