Item Description
Gem smoky quartz crystals with tourmalines are RARE from the famous Pederneira Mine. Limpid sharply terminated aesthetically set smoky quartz crystals on this very special large combination are dominated by the stunning 15.3 cm giant. The complete all-around and nearly pristine glassy, highly lustrous smokies have pretty light smoky color and the stepped-growth prism faces add much character. The tiny ding on the tip of the big smoky certainly has negligible impact to the overall superior quality of this piece. The smokies are dramatically accented with scattered embedded and included gem teal-green tourmalines, to 3.3 cm. The tourmalines have both pinacoidal and pyramidal terminations and the matrix includes lepidolite, as another accessory. This is an exceptional and VERY RARE large 360-degree smoky quartz and tourmaline combination from this renowned locale. Ex Bruno Gioia Collection.
