Item Description
A really fine and frankly rare (in quality) smoky quartz from the famous Himalaya Mine. The stout complete all-around gemmy crystal has an impressive, sharp, complex termination. The very glassy and lustrous crystal has fine light smoky color. The striking termination is water-clear with the lower section having interior clouds. Bright light reveals interesting stepped-growth features on the all of the faces and the cluster of rich lavender lepidolite plates at the base is a classic and colorful accessory. Essentially pristine, with only very trivial termination edge wear. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces.
