Smoky Quartz with Chlorite (Belsky Coll.)

An excellent, gem, water-clear, quartz crystal with fine smoky color from an unknown Swiss locale. Very interestingly, sparkly, microcrystalline chlorite preferentially coats and lightly etches only ONE of the termination faces. All of the remaining crystal faces are chlorite-free. This beautiful crystal is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only very trivial termination and side wear. It looks like cut glass. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. A classic and fine specimen of this varietal from the well known suite amassed by Belsky as a dealer and collector before his untimely passing in 1987. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
