Smoky Quartz w/ Rutile (Hauck Coll.)

Item Description

A beautiful, sharply terminated, water-clear, light smoky quartz crystal has striking stepped-growth faces on this very fine, old-time and uncommon doubly terminated quartz crystal from this famous North Carolina locality. Two, lustrous, translucent, pretty wine-red, rutile crystals to 6 mm are a nifty accent. The basal termination was broken and totally rehealed with fine, dense, stepped-growth. Essentially pristine.
