Item Description

An impressive and rare large smoky quartz crystal from this obscure Montana locale. The incredibly glassy, strangely bulging tapered crystal has rich dark smoky color. The striking stepped-growth to nearly smooth prism faces and preferential rich embedding of tiny muscovite plates add dramatic pizzazz to this 360-degree piece. The termination is transparent to translucent grading downward to nearly opaque. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The termination has only trivial bruising and the contacting near the base on two sides, where other crystals once lay, has no damage, per se. The dealer label says Toll Mountain, but this large, fine and rare smoky resembles material from Goldflint Mountain. An exceptional large smoky for the locale. A MUST for the species or locality collector. Value??
