Smoky Quartz w/ Lepidolite on Muscovite (unusual!)

A fascinating, amazingly scultpural and colorful small cabinet combination from an unknown pegmatite in Minas Gerais. A gem, very glassy, terminated light smoky quartz crystal is dramatically flanked by two "wings" of large pearlescent muscovite books. The subtle stepped-growth to the frontal smoky prism face adds much character. The wings are strikingly preferentially coated with both beautiful lilac and creamy lepidolite microcrystals. The contacted back of the piece is certainly only a modest detraction to this surreal, coloful and unusually shaped combination.
