Quartz is found nearly everywhere on the planet, but there are a few places on earth that produce some of the finest quality specimens of the species. Everybody is probably familiar with the superb Quartz from the Swiss Alps, which have yielded some stellar examples over the years, but this piece is actually from an undisclosed locality in Governador Valadares, Brazil and takes qualities from Switzerland and combines them into this stunning cabinet display specimen. The Quartz crystal on this piece is outstanding in terms of quality as it is razor sharp with glistening luster and incredible WATER-CLEAR clarity when backlit. Combine with this impressive size and seductive golden smoky hue and you have a stunning Quartz crystal that is enriched by the coating of the semi-metallic blades of Muscovite. The Quartz crystal is damage free in the correct sense of the term, though there are a few tiny "Wilbers" that I could see with a loupe. Overall, it's an incredibly impressive and showy specimen that truly catches your eye. The piece comes with a FREE custom acrylic display base.
