Item Description
A very rare and striking, old-time specimen from the Little Pipestone District of Montana and the Lampert and Howard Belsky Collections. This pseudohexagonal, sliced and polished, water-clear, color-zoned, smoky quartz slice is richly filled with long tourmaline hairs, that give a striking "garden effect". I have never seen anything remotely like this from this locale. The impeccably hand written label is probably from George English. This unique, for this locale, specimen dates to circa 1900! The $2.50 price was expensive for that time!! A unique, old-time slice of Montana history.
