Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are very rare from this forest products company property in the Lolo Pass area. This is a fine and showy two-sided plate of lustrous, translucent, smoky quartz crystals dominated by the dramatic 5.5 cm crystal. The smokies are lightly frosted and have a variable, light chlorite coating. An excellent 360-degree piece with a pristine and aesthetic frontal view. There are more crystals on the bottom of the granite matrix as an added bonus. Rare and excellent material from the Schlichter Collection.
