Item Description

A remarkable and rare large smoky quartz scepter with a tourmaline from this renowned Minas Gerais pegmatite district from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. The very glassy, fantastic 360-degree complex doubly terminated scepter is accentuated by the beautiful variable smoky hues. The piece is dramatically complimented by the perpendicular, 6.7 cm, gemmy, well-striated, rich emerald-green tourmaline with an etched termination. The albite on the back side of the hexagonal stalk is another compliment. The scepter is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one hard-to-see ding on a side and very gently bruised terminations. Exceptional and rare older combination material from the 1970s or 80s. Valued at $2000-2500 for quality and rarity.
