Smoky Quartz Scepter (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

Item Description

A classic from the Goboboseb Mountains featuring a solitary scepter Quartz which shows a rich smoky color on the termination that grades into virtually colorless Quartz transitioning to a slightly yellowish (Citrine-esque) hue and ending with a richer smoky tone at the base. The termination is in excellent condition, and I can only find a couple of tiny "Wilbers" with a loupe. A wonderful piece of this well-known material, which will go down as some of the best crystallized Quartz specimens from anywhere in the world. From the Collection of Shields Flynn.
