Smoky Quartz (scepter) (ex Paul Zerfass Collection)

Item Description

A gorgeous very well-formed, gemmy to translucent, sharp scepter crystal of soft smoky colored Quartz from an undisclosed locality in China. The piece is in great shape all around with only a micro nick near the termination. A wonderful Quartz specimen regardless of the locality, and would make a superb addition to a Quartz suite or a gem crytal collection. From the collection of the long time, beloved, well-known French field collector, Paul Zerfass (Collection #1847). Zerfass built this worldwide collection over nearly 50 years, many of which were personally collected. A biography featuring specimens from his collection (along with his face on the cover) is in the May - June 2017 issue of French mineral magazine, Le Regne Mineral.
