Item Description
EXTREMELY RARE smoky quartz from Ohio! Gemmy, glassy and lustrous terminated crystals, to about 2.5 cm, with pretty variable smoky color are attractively clustered above the sculptural quartz-rich matrix. Smoky quartz is only found on the Flint Ridge, where Native Americans quarried flint for arrowheads and spearpoints over 2000 years ago. An exceptional, rich and rare Ohio crystallized smoky quartz from the Bill and Anne Cook collection. (Added by Rob: - I grew up 50 minutes from here and went to the annual Flint Ridge rock swap yearly. I NEVER saw an actual crystallized specimen this good!)
