Smoky quartz is RARE from this historic New Hampshire locale, noted for beryl and topaz specimens. This very fine and essentially pristine (with only a couple of tiny wilbers at the tip) sharply terminated glassy crystal has rich smoky color and is water-clear. This outstanding and rare specimen came from reworking the old pits in the 1980s. An important New Hampshire smoky. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
