Smoky Quartz included with Hematite

Item Description

An elegant and rare specimen from the famous Crystal Peak area of Colorado. Very seldom do you see smoky quartz crystals included with hematite from this locale. The four, glassy, translucent, smokies are richly and preferentially included with rust-red hematite and are set in euhedral microcline crystal matrix. The large smoky crystal is 3.2 cm. A trivial bit of edgewear with some periphery wear is noted, but are very modest detractions, overall. Except for the microcline matrix, this fine piece resembles material from recent finds in Namibia, China or classic Thunder Bay.
