Smoky Quartz (hydro)

Outstanding, classic example of the sharp, highly lustrous Smoky Quartz crystals from Goboboseb. Like the other Amethysts and Smokies from the Brandberg area, the luster, gemminess, and form are superb. To add interest, there is small-scale skeletal development is some of the faces. Even better, there are two bubbles in this crystal. The more dramatic one is in one of the pics, near the penpoint. The bubble has a 1.8 cm tube, which is along the dark line that adjoins the bubble and goes towards the lower right. Really quite amazing. If that wasn't enough, the crystal is nearly doubly-terminated, with the lower termination containing the contact points. An excellent Smoky Quartz.
