Item Description

A fine, gemmy, water-clear smoky quartz gwindel from Russia. This locality is now defunct, and someday will be as classic as any old Alpine location in Europe for similar material (though its more pricey from Europe!). The crystal is staggered gently in the classic "twisted" gwindel form with an obvious twist to it. The terminations are complete on both ends, with only minor, light bruising. One lower edge is contacted, embedded with chlorite, but has very little actual damage. The piece displays wonderfully, and has glassy luster and pretty light smoky color.
