This gorgeous Smoky “gwindel”, or twisted Quartz crystal, is totally transparent and has wonderful luster. Famous for their contorted twist, this feature is easily visible, even in the pics! Smoky gwindels of this deep hue, from Switzerland, set the standard for this material and are highly desirable and hard to find on the market. Obviously, the base is a contacted, and on the reverse side two of the terminations have been contacted. However, the presentation side is glorious, and the quality and aesthetics make the miniature a true find. Formerly in the John Roger Mitchell collection.
