This is a superb quality, scepter habit crystal of beautiful rich "Morion" Smoky Quartz from São Geraldo do Baixio. In reflected light, the color is a dark smoky hue (nearly black on exterior edges), but when the piece is backlit, it not only shows a lighter more enticing hue, but you can see it's GEM QUALITY inside! The WATER CLEAR transparency is amplified by the glistening surface luster on every side of the specimen. I love the gradually tapered crystal habit on the piece, as it features defined scepter growth from the bottom up. The piece is in very good condition all around, with only a few very tiny imperfections.
